The lead changed hands three times during Sunday’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series race at US. 36 Raceway, and Mike Marlar made sure he was the last to take it.

Fans at the Osborn, Missouri race track saw a charging No. 157 Longhorn Chassis storm by Chase Junghans, who had taken the lead from fellow podium finisher Tyler Bruening.

“The car was really good all night long,” Marlar said on DirtVision. “I ran out of tear-offs early so we needed that caution. I got my helmet cleaned off so I could see where I was going and after that I was trekking.”

Lapped traffic was key in Marlar finding another victory on the circuit this season in what has been a dream year for his team.

Tanner English came home with a P25 finish after a broke suspension took him out of contention in the race, closing the gap between himself and Max Blair for the series’ rookie of the year points.

With three A-Mains left this season, just 18 points separate Blair from passing English for the lead in award honors.

Team ARD’s Curt Schroeder came home with a top-20 finish, running in the 19th position.

The next time the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be on the track will come on Wednesday, November 2 as they open the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.
