Miley Motorsports has officially completed the sale of Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, confirming news that the track would remain intact as an acting race track.
The sale was between Miley Motorsports and buyers Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway Inc., owned by Blair and Tabby Cress.
“We could not be more excited to pass on PPMS to the next generation of family operators who are enthusiastic to keep the track running,” said Miley Motorsports owner, Ben Miley, in a release. “This is certainly a bittersweet transition. We’ve been blessed for many years to work with great employees, competitors, fans and friends, and we appreciate the years of support and memories made.”
The track opened its doors in 1979 and appeared on this year’s Pennsylvania Speedweek schedule.
“We are grateful for all of the support from the Miley family and are honored to call them friends,” Blair and Tabby Cress said in the release. We look forward to carrying on their legacy at PPMS while also creating our own. Here’s to the green flag of many years of great racing at the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.”
