Rico Abreu commits to High Limit in 2024

High Limit Racing picked up the biggest true-outlaw/pick-and-choose driver available this off-season on Wednesday.

Veteran Rico Abreu announced his plans over social media, committing to a full-time run with the series in 2024.

Abreu competed in the tour’s midweek schedule in 2023, battling Kyle Larson into the final race for the series’ inaugural championship.

The California native becomes the seventh driver committed to the series for 2024. Series co-owner Brad Sweet will race the No. 49 car under the Kasey Kahne Racing banner for the year, with Kahne driving the full tour, as well.

Other commits include Shark Racing’s Jacob Allen, Rudeen Racing’s Zeb Wise, Ridge & Sons Racing’s Cory Eliason, and Crouch Motorsports’ Brenham Crouch. Series co-owner Kyle Larson has committed to racing the tour’s Midweek Money Series, too.

High Limit’s inaugural national tour will kick off the season February 12 at East Bay Raceway Park. All of the series’ 2024 races can be seen live on FloRacing.
