Rico Abreu navigates Lapped Traffic to earn Win at Muskingum

With Aaron Reutzel looming and a quarter of the field spread out on seemingly every racing line in front of him, Rico Abreu was able to find his way through the weeds on Thursday night at Muskingum.

The California native made it look easy with every car he passed on his way around, further putting distance on a stacked field during the All Star Circuit of Champions race.

Behind Reutzel was a late charging Shane Stewart in the No. 71 Indy Parts car as well as Brent Marks who showed in the heat races that he was ready to put on a show.

Stewart would get by Reutzel late and Wednesday’s winner Kyle Larson brought home a fifth-place finish for his No. 57 team.

The win was Abreu’s eighth career victory in the series and first of the 2020 racing season – one that has seen the Californian race all over the place including Pennsylvania, the World of Outlaws, and Knoxville.

We’ll see where all of these drivers go as the World of Outlaws heads to Burlington on Friday, and the All Stars travel over to Portsmouth. As always all of the Ohio Speedweek action can be seen on FloRacing.com.
