Tyler Erb did everything he could on Friday night to improve his spot in the Wild West Shootout point standings.
It was just enough.
Erb went to the point of Night 4’s feature race at Vado Speedway Park and never looked back, beating out Earl Pearson Jr. and Bobby Pierce.
Erb rises to the top of the points standings for the weekly fund, but each of these drivers will have their eyes on the $25,000-finale night set for Sunday to kick off a money-filled year of racing in the dirt late model side of motorsports.
Pierce and Mike Marlar raced side-by-side somewhat cleanly after the pair tangled with each other on Wednesday and cost one another a victory.
Erb and the pair of Marlar and Pierce have broken away in the points along with winner of Nights 1 and 2, Brandon Sheppard.
The final prelim night of the contest goes down on Saturday and fans with a subscription to FloRacing can catch the entirety of it live.
