How good has Kyle Larson been since we returned to racing? I crunched some numbers, and they’re staggering to say the least.
Since the Return to Racing event held at Knoxville Raceway on May 8th, Larson has competed in 17 events. Of those 17, he’s won 10! That’s a 58.8 win percentage.
Totaling up those 17 races, Larson has an average finish of 2.35. He had two 10th place finishes in May, pushing that number up.
Kyle Larson's last 2 weeks:
6/7 – P1 ASCOC 81 Spdwy
6/8 – P1 ASCOC Lawton
6/10 – P1 ASCOC Devil's Bowl
6/12 – P1 WoO Knoxville
6/13 – P1 WoO Knoxville
6/16 – P1 IMW Paragon
6/17 – P1 IMW Gas City
6/18 – P1 IMW L.P.
6/19 – P2 IMW L.P.
6/20 – P1 IMW Lawrenceberg
6/21 – P2 Kokomo— Always Race Day (@AlwaysRaceDay) June 22, 2020
Larson has competed against the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars seven times with an average finish of 3.875, including three wins.
He raced against the All Star Circuit of Champions four times, participating in their Thunder Through the Plains event in early June. He averaged a 1.25 finish in the four races he entered, winning 3 and placing second in the other event.
Then came Indiana Midget Week. With everyone knowing the hot streak he was on, he switched up cars, and owners, to race with the best midget racers in the country.
He came in with his win streak at five and was able to continue it on through the week, winning the first three events, and winning 4 out of 6. His average finish this week has been 1.33. He finished second in the both of the races he didn’t win.
We’ve seen drivers go on hot streaks in the past, but racing against different series and different cars shows just how versatile Kyle Larson really is.
It should be exciting to see where he goes from here! We’ll be here to bring you results and info at Always Race Day!
