The first USAC schedule for 2021 has finally been released.

The United States Auto Club (USAC) kicked off the week with the first of three schedule reveals through its partner FloRacing on Tuesday.

The tour – headlined by defending champion Justin Grant – will start things off on May 9 as it heads to Winchester Speedway for the first time in series history.

“It will be fun to go to Winchester for the first time,” Grant said on the FloRacing broadcast. “I’ve never run there so I’m excited for that, and it’s obviously great to have the fairgrounds back on the schedule.”

Following the debut event at Winchester will be the 66th running of the annual Hoosier Hundred at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, a race that Kyle Larson took in 2020.

Overall, the 12-race slate currently poses five pavement races and six dirt events, with one more event to be announced for June 26.

That’s good news for Grant, who is looking to capture his first pavement win in 2021.

“I’d really like to win a pavement race,” Grant said on the broadcast. “We’ve been close. We’ve been getting better. That race at Toledo would be huge for my team and huge for me if we can win that one.”
