Vemeer Motorsports announced Wednesday that it would be parting ways with driver Hunter Schuerenberg.
The pair competed in the All Star Circuit of Champions in recent years.
Schuerenberg is currently third in series points standings and the move comes as a surprise.
Vermeer Motorsports’ statement can be seen below:
The move comes at a difficult time for both the team and driver, as the World of Outlaws visit Knoxville Raceway this week and will race at Huset’s Speedway for a $250,000-to-win event in two weeks up North.
Schuerenberg has not yet made a statement at the time of publishing this article.
