When including the support classes, over 170 late models showed up to Volusia Speedway Park on Thursday for Night 1 of the 2022 Sunshine Nationals that mark the season opening race for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

Due to the amount of cars and time that it took to run the entirety of the preliminary parts of the program, the A-Main action was ultimately postponed to Friday afternoon.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m. CT on DirtVision, all three features – the World of Outlaws season opener as well as the pair of support classes – will run as planned and then the series will go to work on Night 2 of the action.

No order has been announced on which race will happen first.
