The World of Outlaws Late Model Series announced a multitude of changes & details for its 2022 schedule including a return to Bristol, 13 race weekends, and $125,000 given to the winner of the championship.
Included in on the schedule is two confirmed race weekends in Iowa at Boone (July 8-9) and Davenport (Aug. 25-27).
“We are always bouncing ideas off our teams to try and get feedback on things when it comes to the schedule and points fund,” Series Director Casey Shuman said in a release. “We have tried to add some new big weekends each year, and in 2022 we will do that again, along with a very enticing point fund for our full-time teams.”

The headliner to the announcement (aside from Bristol) is the $25,000 increase to the champions purse, which now totals at $125,000. On top of that, each points finish in the top 12 increased by $5,000 or more. The full end-of-year purse totals can be seen below.
Already announced for the 2022 season was the dates for the first seven races of the season, held at Volusia Speedway Park between the Sunshine Nationals and DIRTCar Nationals.
The series will then travel to The Rev – a dirt track in Monroe, LA that produced an entertaining sprint car race the last time on the schedule – for the first time in tour history. The finale will pay $20,000.
Returning to the slate in months following will be Cherokee Speedway, the Illini 100 at Farmer City, a trip back to Bristol with the Sprint Car Series, Mississippi Thunder, and Sharon.
On June 24, the tour will visit another new track on the schedule, home of sprint car racing’s Ironman 55. They’ll head to Pevely for the weekend with another $20,000 on the line.
