Donny Schatz wins 11th career Knoxville Nationals title

David Gravel took the lead on the opening restart of the second half of Saturday’s Knoxville Nationals A-Main. As he pulled away from then-leader Tyler Courtney, the No. 15 was on the move.

Donny Schatz traveled from sixth to the front of the pack, stalking Gravel with seven laps to go in the 50-lap main event. Schatz got close enough to make a move, but didn’t ended up passing Gravel on speed behind the power of his Ford Motor.

The win becomes Schatz’ 11th Knoxville Nationals championship.

Parker Price-Miller was injured in an accident during the first lap of the race in a crash with JJ Hickle. We will update in a separate story his condition as it becomes available.
