The Biff is back.

One of NASCAR’s most likeable characters in Greg Biffle will return to the sport once more this week for a run at the Daytona 500 with NY Racing.

This was originally rumored when an Instagram post circulated last week, but the team confirmed the entry on Monday.

Biffle will run the No. 44 car, with backing from Grambling State University and Urban Edge Network/HBCU League Pass on the car. Jay Guy will serve as the crew chief and the team will have to qualify its way into the race.

The longtime driver of the Roush No. 16 car in the first part of the 2010’s has raced twice in NASCAR in the past three years, winning the NASCAR Truck Series race at Texas for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2019.

He’ll try to qualify for his 15th Daytona 500 this week, when single-car qualifying rolls on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. CT on Fox Sports 1.
