Cannon McIntosh had to stave off a multitude of late race restarts on Wednesday night, but ultimately used his precision in the category to drive to a win.

The Dave Mac Dalby Motorsports No. 08 driver earned a victory in the second-ever race for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series, held as part of the PAG Double Down Showdown at Millbridge Speedway.

“It definitely got tough at the end,” McIntosh said on the DirtVision broadcast. “We just broke our momentum and it started getting rougher at the end of that race… We didn’t what we needed to do at the end.”

McIntosh was referring to the portion of the race where he was passed by Tuesday night winner Gavan Boschele, who made a run to the bumper and found a way to slide McIntosh while he was dicing through lapped cars.

Boschele ended up flipping, shortly after taking the lead, and bringing out the first red flag of the night.

The break in the action helped Kyle Larson, who drove from the back of the field in 19th to the top five, before flipping his No. 86 CBI midget himself.

At the end of the night, all that remained was McIntosh’s No. 08 and the talented midget racer picks one up again.

The Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series will return to the track in June, supporting the World of Outlaws CASE Late Model Series at Jacksonville during the final Sunday of the month.
