Once again Tim McCreadie grabs a crown jewel win in the $50,000 to win Firecracker 100 at Lernerville.
This is the second time in McCreadie’s career that he picked up the Firecracker 100 win with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series at Lernerville. McCreadie started on the front row and fended off challengers all night long to pick up the win.

After clearing Brandon Sheppard, McCreadie checked out early on in the 100 lap feature. A caution brought the field back together but it didn’t matter because McCreadie took off yet again. He clicked off laps while things got intense behind him.
Following a lap 6 restart, Earl Pearson, Jr. tried to make it around Sheppard for second. Instead it was Pearson tagging the wall. However, that didn’t slow him down at all and Pearson moved into the second spot. It didn’t take long for Sheppard to build the speed back up and get by Pearson for second. He set sail for McCreadie and would catch him as McCreadie caught the tail end of lap traffic.
Navigating lap traffic wasn’t easy by any means but Sheppard struggled to clear cars and it allowed Brandon Overton to be added in the mix. A caution slowed the field a couple of different times at the midway point of the $50,000 to win race. Shortly after the restart around lap 57, Overton cleared Sheppard for second and would try and chase down McCreadie.
With 10 laps to go T-Mac held the advantage but would again close in on lap traffic and allowed Overton to shrink the gap. However, time would run out on Overton and it was McCreadie grabbing his second career Firecracker 100 victory. Overton would close the gap to one car length but not have enough to challenge. Mike Marlar ran a clean race and would finish in the podium spot.
McCreadie has now won nearly every crown jewel race for the Late Models and adds a second win at Lernerville Speedway in the Firecracker 100.
