The fourth edition of the annual Driven2SaveLives BC39 is as big as its ever been, bringing in nearly 90 drivers for the two-day, special format event at the Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Drivers selected their starting positions in a heat race draft held Tuesday night, with passing points being awarded for each race.
The point standings after the heat races will set the lineups for qualifying races that will be held to qualify for Thursday’s BC39 A-Main, which stretches 39 laps and honors the late Bryan Clauson.
Wednesday night will also feature an exhibition race called, ‘The Stoops Pursuit.’ The lineup for the race will include all 10 heat race winners, the highest point earner from each heat, and however many promoter’s provisionals are given until the field reaches 24 drivers.
They will invert the field based on fastest heat race times and drivers will be eliminated every five laps if they have a negative plus/minus.
Five drivers competing in the BC39 will travel to Knoxville following the action Thursday to qualify for the Knoxville 360 Nationals on Friday night: Kyle Larson, Buddy Kofoid, Tyler Courtney, Brady Bacon, and Ryan Timms.
Other big names entered in the Indianapolis event include 10-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz, former NASCAR star Ryan Newman, current NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe, and current NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Sheldon Creed.
The action kicks off Wednesday on FloRacing with the broadcast scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. CT. Full heat race lineups are below.
