The more races that go on at Eldora Speedway, the more Jonathan Davenport finds himself running to the front of the field.
The driver of the No. 49 car appeared to be settling into a P2 result in his heat race until Trent Ivey got into the wall and handed Davenport the win.
From then, it was a flurry of cars stacked up, seconds behind the blue-and-white car that would get out front from the fourth position and lead the majority of the first A-Main of the evening.
Behind him was Jimmy Owens and Wednesday’s Dirt Late Model Dream winner Brandon Overton. Chris Madden finished fourth in his first race since his Dream heartbreak.
Hudson O’Neal took home the victory in the ensuing race, beating out a No. 25 car in piloted by Shane Clanton that looked as fast as its been all year.
Night 2 of the action kicks off at 5:30 p.m. CT on FloRacing Friday, and results will be updated with point totals once they become available.
