In response to the news that Alex Palou has seen his deal ironed out with Arrow McLaren SP and Chip Ganassi Racing, AMSP has announced that Felix Rosenqvist will return to the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023 and expand to three cars.
The move that took nearly an entire summer to work out brings Rosenqvist back with Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi – who will join the team after racing with Andretti Autosport for the past number of years.
“There’s no better way to enter the off-season than with this news,” Rosenqvist said in a release. “I love this team, and I’m so happy to continue working with all the incredible people I’ve gotten to know over the past two seasons.”
The expansion to three cars will be the first season for the team running as such.
It comes along with Juncos Hollinger expanding to two cars for 2023 as well.
“With everything the team has in the pipeline, the continuing relationship with Pato and the addition of Alex Rossi, we are going to bring our A-game for 2023,” Rosenqvist said in the release. “It will be the most exciting season for me so far. Let it be March already.”
The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series schedule has not yet been released, but it’s expected to start in March according to multiple reports, and also as stated here by Rosenqvist.
