For the fourth consecutive season, A.J. Allmendinger is the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ race winner at the Roval.
The Kaulig Racing star, who will return to full-time Cup Series competition in 2023, extended his already massive points lead going into the semifinal round of the Xfinity Series playoffs with the victory.
Allmendinger owns a 22-point cushion to the playoff cutoff, second to Noah Gragson, who sits at plus-34 after a ferocious month of September that included four-straight race wins.
The road course ace also owns the final Kaulig Racing playoff bid, joining Richard Childress with Austin Hill as teams to own one remaining spot.
All four of the JR Motorsports entries remain in the hunt for trips to Phoenix and Joe Gibbs Racing holds the final pair of qualified entries.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns next week for the opening race of the semifinal round at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The race will be televised by NBC and kicks off at 2:00 p.m. CT.
