Concluding with the weekend’s Jim and Joanne Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway, Tyler Courtney has earned his second-straight ASCoC championship for Clauson-Marshall Racing.
The driver of the No. 7BC made quick work on the ASCoC circuit during the season, collecting eight wins, including one on the finale weekend.
Courtney and his team finish the year with 35 top 5’s and 42 top 10’s in 49 series races this year.
The year started the season off with three victories in the first four races (one of them not a points event) going into the rest of the year building his lead, rather than chasing from behind.
From there, Courtney saw a bit of a dry spell, dodging victory lane until late in the Ohio SprintWeek race at Waynesfield.
Courntey later swept the weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway and began his run to a second-straight title.
He joins Aaron Reutzel, Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, Greg Wilson, Chad Kemenah, Dale Blaney, Kenny Jacobs, Kevin Huntley, Frankie Kerr, Joe Gaerte, Fred Linder, and Lee Osborne on the list of drivers who have won a pair of titles in the series.
