If it wasn’t for bad luck Brady Bacon and the Dynamics Incorporated No. 69 team would have
no luck at all so far in 2024, but that all changed at the Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis,
Indiana.

Brady Bacon passed Kevin Thomas Jr. with five to go and it looked like Bacon would finally etch
his name in the history books with USAC in 2024 before a late race caution would provide a
minor scare.

“We have fast cars every time we’ve been to the racetrack. It just seems like something always
happens and not just in the No. 69. I mean Belleville we were leading by almost a lap and blew
an engine,” Bacon said on his bad luck streak so far this year. “It’s good to just kinda get back
into the rhythm of things, racing is sort of hit or miss at the beginning of the year. You know
those bad streaks don’t last forever.

Bacon would nail the restart and propel himself to victory lane on Night One of the Circle City
Salute at the Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana. The bottom was the most dominant
line the majority of the night but the top came in just in time for the race winning move.

“The bottom is typically where I go best here but the top wasn’t really curbed up so you could
kinda lean on it a little more than normal even though it was all the way around and not a whole
lot of grip on it.” Bacon said.

Kevin Thomas Jr dominated the race on the cushion before a mid-race caution would bunch the
field up and show a major issue on the No. 3R and take him from being in contention for the win
to just hanging on.

“I just had a bot break on the left rear shock and you know when it was up on the fence like that,
it’s not necessarily what you want. I’d bike getting into one while I was leading then I biked on
the exit and I was like ‘no, that’s not right,’ so I just tried to salvage what I had,” Thomas said on
his mechanical gremlins.

Daison Pursley rounded out the field with an incredible charge from the 14th starting position.

“It was a real tricky Circle City tonight. It was very wide and you can run three grooves, the
middle, top, or around the tires. So I thought we caught a lot of lucky breaks there with Shane
(Cottle) hitting the tires and just having a lot of people get done there and bottled up,” Pursley
said on his 11 position charge to the podium.

The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship returns to action tomorrow night with
the $10,000 to win finale of the Circle City Salute at the Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
