The Bristol Dirt Nationals kicked off this week as a prelude to next week’s NASCAR action at the man-made dirt track and it started off with a shocker.

A 12-year old found his way to victory lane.

Trey Mills, a young racer that made his name in Florida, earned the first feature win of the day, taking the win in the 602 Late Model Feature.

Mills is no stranger to victory lane, though.

In 2020, he captured his first championship, running through the 604 Late Model Division at All-Tech Raceway.

He’ll get another chance to do it on Wednesday, as the 602 Late Models run once again at the Bristol Dirt Track.
