The Pennsylvania Posse fans will be happy to know that they got a killer race and one of their own stood on the frontstretch at the end of the night.
Danny Dietrich put on a show on Sunday at BAPS, putting the No. 48 into victory lane with the tour for the 15th time in his career.
“We needed a win really bad,” Dietrich said on the FloRacing broadcast. “It’s been a trying year for sure and we haven’t been that great. We’ve been fast, just not on the frontstretch.”
Hunter Schuerenberg took the lead going into the final 10 laps of the night, but would end up being pressured by the red-and-white No. 48.
Then came Dietrich’s march.
He got to the bumper, backed off a bit as the pair had to get around the lapped car of Cap Henry, and then pounced to get by with two laps remaining.
“I want to thank the track crew,” Dietrich said. “This is the best this track has been in years. When was the last time in Pennsylvania that we’ve seen slide jobs like this?”
Ryan Smith, Freddie Rahmer, and Anthony Macri rounded out the top 5 for the Pennsylvania Posse.
ASCoC points leader Tyler Courtney ended up finishing sixth after coming from P13.
The All Star Circuit of Champions returns to the track on Friday night, taking to Attica Raceway Park in Ohio.
