So, Chase Briscoe got his fourth NASCAR Xfinity Series victory of the season at Pocono on Sunday…
But that was definitely not the race that we were expecting.
It was thought that the first race of the day in the Truck Series that was filled with wrecks was not a sign of things to come, but this race quickly became that.
Now, it wasn’t the same kind of sloppy that we saw in the trucks necessarily. Two of the wrecks had spanned from drivers that have histories of not liking each other or retaliation of something that happened earlier in the day.
The latter came from Justin Haley taking out Riley Herbst on the frontstretch.
This move from Justin Haley was deemed as Aggressive Driving by #NASCAR and will cost Haley two laps.

However, with all of the wrecking on the track, it took away from the racing product.
So much so, that Chris Williams swore off the Xfinity Series for the day.

After the final big accident, it left three contenders on the track between Briscoe, Ross Chastain, and Myatt Snider.
Snider would hang with the two Xfinity power drivers but wouldn’t stick his nose in the lead for very long.
Briscoe, however, would have to battle multiple times against Chastain to earn the victory, eventually winning a battle on a restart with two to go to seal the win.
Briscoe will remain at the top of the standings with his series leading fourth win of the year and stated after the race that he was halfway to his goal of eight.
The series will return to the track at Indianapolis on the fourth of July on Saturday. They’ll be running the road course at the brickyard at 2:00 p.m. CT on NBC.
