For the first time in modern-day IndyCar racing, the series will offer multiple tire compounds to use on an oval race track during the 2023 season.
The Sunday, August 27 race at World Wide Technology Raceway will see the debut of the alternate option tires.
The race will feature the same rules as road and street courses, meaning teams will be required to use both sets of tires at some point in the race.
