The 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series schedule has been released.
Sprint car fans have long awaited the public releases from each of the pair of national tours set to be in operation next season, and the World of Outlaws is the first to drop their 86-race slate.
The season will open with four days of racing at the DIRTCar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in February.
“We’re really looking forward to the robust schedule assembled for 2024,” World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Director Carlton Reimers said in a release. “We listened to both teams and fans and put together a calendar featuring the biggest crown jewel events in the sport and exciting new facilities, while returning to fan favorites. Every year we strive to make sure fans in all regions of the country get to enjoy The Greatest Show on Dirt.”
The series will make trips to four new tracks during the year, including Texas’ Kennedale Speedway Park and Big O Speedway, and Oklahoma’s Thunderbird Speedway & Arrowhead Speedway.
Along with the shuffling of the schedule, drivers and teams will have a weekend off following the Independence Day Spectacular surrounding the July 4th holiday.
The series will return to Selinsgrove Speedway for the first time in 32 years, replacing the dates set for originally set for Port Royal Speedway with the Jim Nace Memorial.
August will once again bring the biggest event in sprint car racing to Iowa in the 63rd running of the Knoxville Nationals from August 7 to August 10
