Bobby Pierce has committed to the Hell Tour.
After coming into the year and having doubts of being able to make every race, the No. 32 team has made the decision to skip this week’s Silver Dollar Nationals to stay full-time on the DIRTCar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.
“A lot of people have been messaging and asking,” Pierce said in his statement. “So we as a Team have decided to finish out the Summer Nationals tour and go for the Championship. We hate missing the Silver Dollar Nationals as it is one of my favorite races every year. However, we have put ourselves in a situation with a great opportunity to win a 4th Hell Tour Title.”
Pierce won the Hell Tour three years in a row and basically launched his career that he has had since doing so in 2015, ’16 and ’17.
He was originally planning on missing five races through the summer, but now will run the rest of the races since rainouts have eliminated the option to drop any bad finishes from the points.
Pierce added to his statement about wanting to see the different late model tours work together in 2021.
“Hopefully, next season everyone can work together and not have such a conflicting schedule. I look forward to the remainder of the tour! Thanks everyone,” Pierce concluded.
The Hell Tour will return to the track on Thursday at Springfield Raceway. Pierce brings with him, a 115-point lead in the standings as he goes for his fourth career Hell Tour title.
