Brandon Sheppard to vacate Rocket seat, Hudson O'Neal named new driver

Brandon Sheppard and Rocket Chassis’ house car will part ways following the 2022 racing season, according to a report by DirtonDirt.com published on Friday.

Hudson O’Neal has already been named as the replacement for Sheppard, who had driven for the team for six seasons while collecting four World of Outlaws championships.

Sheppard will be driving the No. 5 car fans have seen him pilot in numerous Hell Tour starts over the summers.

The Rocket team made a significant shift to its schedule this season, jumping from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series early in the year.

Sheppard currently sits second in series points with the Lucas Oil tour, while O’Neal is running in fourth in the category.
