In a chaotic night of racing at Eldora that saw four drivers running in the top six at some point go to the work area, Brent Marks stood on the top of his car in victory lane after capturing the $100,000 Historical Big 1 Thursday night.
The national, open-schedule racer captured the check, which is the biggest he’s earned in his career to date the in the sport.
“Ah man,” Marks said in victory lane on DirtVision. “Holy shit. That was awesome. Honestly didnt think we’d have a winning car the first half of the race, but the track came in there.”
He took down one of the two defending Kings Royal winners in Tyler Courtney, who finished in the runner-up spot in front of Rico Abreu.
The other defending winner at Eldora came in Kyle Larson, who had a tire go down and rallied from P21 to finish in the top 10.
James McFadden did some of the same, but in a different order. The Roth Motorsports No. 83 driver ended his night early after running from P20 to sixth. He ended up right back where he started,
The racing continues at Eldora Speedway on Friday with The Knight Before taking place at the New Weston, Ohio track. The racing can be seen on DirtVision.
