Vermeer Motorsports has tabbed Buddy Kofoid as the new driver of the team’s No. 55 sprint car that competes full-time with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions during the year.

The team parted ways with former driver Hunter Schuerenberg officially on Wednesday night and announced the move to Kofoid Thursday morning.

Kofoid comes to the team with a pair of World of Outlaws wins to his name this season, acquired when he was racing with Crouch Motorsports before that pair dissolved.

Vermeer Motorsports will race the full Ohio Sprint Speedweek schedule with Kofoid in the car before heading to Huset’s Speedway for the High Bank Nationals – assuming the team stays on schedule with races its ran in the past.

Ohio Sprint Speedweek kicks off on Friday at Attica Raceway Park. As always, all of the action for the All Star Circuit of Champions can be seen live on FloRacing.
