Carson Macedo claims #TheKnightBefore for second win in seven days

NEW WESTON, Ohio – Carson Macedo got the monkey off his back a week ago, winning the Badger 40 to earn his first World of Outlaws victory since his scary incident at Knoxville Raceway.

Friday, he won his second race in seven days, pacing the field for 30 laps in route to his fifth win of the season.

Macedo got off to a hot start and was aided by Gio Scelzi, who made a move on Brad Sweet that disrupted a threat at the lead spot to open things up.

Sweet ended up getting by Scelzi, but the driver of the No. 18 was pleased with his podium efforts.

“Normally when I race here I sit down to pee,” Scelzi said.

Tyler Courtney left the race after flipping in turns 1 and 2 that brought out the lone caution of the 30-lap A-Main.

The drivers will be back on track Saturday night to battle for $175,000 and the right to call themselves a king. The 40th running of the Kings Royal will be broadcasted live on DirtVision.
