ELDORA – Shark Racing’s success story, which includes starting as a local race team that found its way to touring full-time with the most prestigious sprint car series in the world, was already impressive.
Then Logan Schuchart won a million bucks.
“A milly baby, woo,” Schuchart screamed in victory lane, still soaking in what a little team from Pennsylvania has accomplished over the past decade and change.
“I say it all the time, we’ve come a long way from starting from the bottom. Where Jacob and I have come from, and just the kind of equipment that we had. Starting out with the (World of) Outlaws, we had one engine in each car. We have some big name supporters that believe in Shark Racing.”
Schuchart led all 50 laps of the main event.
Aaron Reutzel spun on lap 21 of the race, the opening stint after the midway break, and collected Kyle Larson, Spencer Bayston, Gio Scelzi and Lachlan McHugh. All five drivers exited the race.
The race weekend at Eldora continues on Friday and Saturday, concluding with the 40th running of the Kings Royal on Saturday night. It can be seen live on DirtVision.
