Chase Elliott is going on a bit of a alternative racing tear this week.

Before Sunday’s Cup race at New Hampshire, Elliott will be taking part in Saturday’s SRX season finale as well as two USAC National Midget races on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As a part of the series’ four-race mini tour through the Midwest, Elliott announced via Twitter that he would be racing a midget for the first time since Ocala at the start of this season.

Elliott made it to the F-Main in the 2021 Chili Bowl and captured a heat race win earlier this year with the USAC Midget tour.

He called it the highlight of his career, jokingly, in a tweet about the heat win.

Elliott will join the series for Tuesday’s race at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma as well as Wednesday’s event at Solomon Valley Raceway in Beloit, Kansas.

Both races, along with the rest of the USAC Triple Crown tour schedules, can be seen live on FloRacing.
