Carson Macedo is the first World of Outlaws driver to reach the three-win mark.
Battling a rough track at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, the Jason Johnson Racing driver was able to defeat the ruts in the racetrack – and a damaged right-rear wheel – to capture another victory.
“I tried to get turned (high on the race track) and get across those ruts so my right rear didn’t hit them,” Macedo said in victory lane on the DirtVision broadcast.
The strategy worked, as Macedo took a plethora of restarts defending the field and a charging Logan Schuchart who was looking to start a Shark Racing win streak.
Although Schuchart was the runner-up, both Shark Racing cars finished in the top 10 once again, with Allen taking P10.
Brad Sweet rounded out the podium on the night, standing as the only thing that stood between a car driven by Sheldon Haudenschild that flipped and had an axle taken out of it that came back to run fourth.
Spencer Bayston kept his top 10 streak alive as well, and Chili Bowl Nationals champion Tanner Thorson brought home his No. 19 with a P12 finish.
The World of Outlaws return to the race track next weekend, for a weekend doubleheader at Tri-City and Haubstadt before the series heads to Bristol. All of the action all season can be seen live on DirtVision.
