Jason Sides’ driver search is going to be ongoing as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season continues throughout the summer.
As he stated originally, if Sides doesn’t have a driver lined up to drive the No. 7S car that he owns, he’ll hop in it himself.
Sides will pilot the No. 7S again this weekend at #LetsRaceTwo at Eldora Speedway.
“The bigger the track the easier it is on the body,” Sides said in a press release. “The smaller tracks are more on and off the gas, back and forth, on the brakes hard. On the bigger tracks you get into one big rhythm and it doesn’t change every corner.”
Sides has won at Eldora twice with the World of Outlaws, taking the Kings Royal in 2004 and a Four Crown Nationals win in 2009.
He commented on the improvements the track has made since then in the press release.
“We’ve raced there for a lot of years,” Sides said. “The biggest difference is the banking and all the other improvements they’ve done there. You can see from the first time we went there to now everything has grown and made it more corporate looking.”
Sides will continue to search for drivers throughout the coming weeks. We’ll have more updates on who is filling the seat as they become available.
