Of the Chili Bowl entries announced so far, Justin Grant won’t be the absolute biggest name competing in the Super Bowl of midget racing events in 2021.

However, he might have just made RMS Racing the favorite to win the whole dang thing.

The team, dubbed Response Management Service Racing (RMS) is owned by Dave Estep and he’s put together one of the most solid rosters a team could ask for.

Grant will join 2017 USAC Midget champion Spencer Bayston, and a pair of World of Outlaws stars in David Gravel and back-to-back series champion Brad Sweet for a run at the Chili Bowl.

It’s part of a five-driver lineup that culminates with USAC veteran Thomas Meseraull – who will become Grant’s teammate as the pair of drivers take on the full midget tour with RMS Racing in 2021.

“We were looking for an experienced driver, and actually, Thomas (Meseraull) was the one who recommended Justin to us,” Estep said in a press release.  “We wanted that experience so that they could bounce ideas off each other.  That’s the main reason.  We want to win, and with those two, we have a very good opportunity.  I think we’re going to have a very good team.”

Grant is the defending USAC Silver Crown Series champion, himself, and with the team that Estep lined up, the accolades will speak for themselves.

They’ll line up for the weeklong event that stretches from January 11-16 alongside each other with a shot to win each preliminary night of racing.

“I think it’s going to be really good,” Grant said. “(RMS Racing) has definitely had speed this year and Thomas (Meseraull) and those guys have got the team going really well.  I’m really looking forward to going racing with them.”

“I haven’t done the full tour in a couple years, which was kind of by choice,” Grant continued. “I raced with Rick Young and Jeff Taylor of RAMS Racing and we did a limited schedule over the last couple of years and had success.  Things just lined up and the timing seemed right to go after a full tour again and see we can compete for a championship.”
