FloSports and the sport of racing got some big news on Friday.
Thursday’s Kyle Larson Late Model Challenge at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) was the most-watched, single-day event in FloSports history.
This, according to FloSports and a tweet from The Athletic’s Jeff Gluck, encorporates every sport that Flo broadcasts.
FloSports says the Kyle Larson dirt late model race last night in Tennessee became “the most-watched single day event in FloSports history.” That’s not just for FloRacing, but all of FloSports. Volunteer Speedway also had its highest attendance in 20 years.

If you tuned into the broadcast, the crowd at Volunteer Speedway was packed into the stands – something Larson noted during an on-track interview following his heat race.
Larson wants the event to grow into something similar to what the Prelude to the Dream was at Eldora Raceway years ago.
Even though Larson and William Byron were the only NASCAR Cup Series drivers in the race, it still showed the potential that the event has.
