Thursday’s Chili Bowl Nationals entry list grew by on Tuesday.
Kyle Larson has announced that he plans on returning to the Chili Bowl Nationals – after sitting out last year citing the the issues he had with the previous purse structure for the race.
The press release from FloRacing stated that Larson phoned his former car owner in the race, Keith Kunz, to congratulate him on winning Monday night’s A-Main with Tanner Carrick behind the wheel.
He then asked Kunz if he had an extra car at the event, and once Kunz said he did, Larson booked his travel arrangements.
Larson will drive the No. 98K with sponsorship from DH Horton, FloRacing and HendrickCars.com in Thursday’s preliminary night.
If he can lock in for Saturday’s A-Main, he plans on running a doubleheader – going from the Wild West Shootout where he’ll compete in Kevin Rumley’s dirt late model to Tulsa to race the 55-lap finale.
Both of the events can be seen throughout the week live on FloRacing.
