The inevitable happened again.
In his second race since winning the NASCAR Cup Series championship earlier this month, Kyle Larson is again a USAC Midget feature winner.
The star racer earned his third win in four starts with the tour this year as he got by Emerson Axsom with just under 10 laps to go to claim the victory.
Aside from the invaders on the tour, Buddy Kofoid raced from the 10th row to capture P5 on the night, while Chris Windom came back in 15th.
The result gives Kofoid the points lead back, leaving Night 2 at the Hangtown with a 12-point lead on Windom in the standings.
The USAC Midget tour will wrap up its week at Placerville with a 40-lap finale on Saturday night. The action can be seen live on FloRacing.
