Logan Seavey has won four USAC Non-Wing Sprint Car races in the entirety of his racing career.
Three of them have come as part of Indiana Sprint Week shows.
The Sutter, California native picked up his second straight victory on Monday night, holding off defending USAC Sprint Car champion Brady Bacon to take home the win.
“Sprint Week is so cool,” Seavey said on FloRacing. “It’s such a big week for Indiana Sprint Car racing. I can’t thank the fans and sponsors enough that support this.”
Seavey took the Derek Baldwin-owned No. 5 car to victory lane once again trying to inch closer and closer to Bacon’s lead in the Indiana Sprint Car standings.
To do so, he had to drive a near perfect race.
The track at Gas City, which had seen more than a fair share of rain after being postponed on Friday night, was giving the USAC drivers all that they could handle.
Seavey described it as a different Gas City surface than he had seen before.
“I never (let up),” Seavey said on the broadcast. “I knew with the slightest mistake, you could probably lose a second in a heartbeat. At the end, I was kind of getting nervous. I wasn’t gaining on the lapped cars as much as I thought I would. I didn’t know if something was working different or (what not). I kind of just committed to blowing through the holes there.”
The night didn’t come without its share of drama, though.
Kevin Thomas Jr. was forced to come from the B-Main after making contact with the car of Jadon Rogers, who coincidentally was involved in a wreck with Justin Grant the night before.
FloRacing spoke to both drivers ahead of the features, each of them sounding off about the other:
Jadon Rogers – "I think it was hard racing, all these @USACNation guys seem to be in a clique together. If you get into it with one of them, youre in it with all of them. I guess that's just how USAC racing is."

Nothing surfaced during the A-Main, but as the week goes on, we could see some more chipiness out of the competitors on tour.
The series returns to the track on Wednesday for Night 4 of Indiana Sprint Week, heading to Terre Haute.
“I haven’t been too good at Terre Haute in the past,” Seavey said. “Derek is really good at Terre Haute and I know the car is good. I just have to pick up the pace and do my job.”
