XR Events and the Racetrack Revival have more up their sleeve than just North Wilkesboro.
The team revealed Wednesday that it will be taking over the West Virginia facility with plans to re-open the track in 2024.
In a statement, they said: An agreement has been reached between XR Events and the Ritchie County Fairgrounds to return racing to the historic Pennsboro Speedway in Pennsboro, WV in 2024. XR Events, operators of the Racetrack Revival, will tackle the dormant facility with a long term plan to return it to racing in 2024. Further details will be released at a later time.
The track is known for its scenic surroundings and was home to the super late model crown jewel Hillbilly 100 – the longest running late model race in the world – from 1967 to 1998.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his team at Peacock featured the race track on an episode of Lost Speedways in 2021:

Further information will be reported when it becomes available, but XR events taking on another race track after rebirthing North Wilkesboro is certainly something that stands out.
