Ryan Timms had never raced at Volusia Speedway Park, but no one could tell by the way the 16-year old navigated the USCS 360 sprint car season opener at the track.
Despite a loaded field, Timms took the lead early and led the rest of the way to claim victory in Night 1 of the Southern Sprint Car Shootout.

Behind him on the podium was Dylan Westbrook, and NASCAR Cup Series regular & World of Outlaws team owner Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Other talents with no shortage of name recognition in the event included Anthony Macri, Devin Borden, Brenham Crouch among more.
The finale of the race weekend goes own Saturday on DirtVision with hot laps set to kick off at 5:00 p.m. CT.
