“I went triple, double, and then I endo’d into the tunnel jump.”

Cameron McAdoo was describing to an AMA Supercross official what happened in his wicked crash during Tuesday night’s 250 SX Main Event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

He was trying to get cleared in a concussion test. The NBCSN cameras just happened to catch the end of it.

Moments before that, McAdoo went through one of the worst looking accidents we’ve seen in recent supercross memory.

McAdoo, as he said, missed the combination ahead of the tunnel, resulting in his front tire going into the ramp and flipping over his handle bars after coming over the top.

The race was red flagged because of how long it took for the Sioux City, Iowa native to stand up and walk away.

At first, he couldn’t handle much pressure on it, citing a leg contusion during his TV interview after the race, but McAdoo made things happen.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider was able to clear concussion protocol and after some stretching and moving around, he restarted the race with the rest of the field.

It was a demanding, long course that the series’ riders aren’t as used to – which made things tough for the rider piloting his No. 31 bike without a plate on it.

He went for the holeshot early, just getting cutoff before making a run at the lead. Then, he went to work.

McAdoo settled in in the fourth position and made an early pass to get to third. He actually held P2 for most of the event, but was passed late by Hunter Lawrence resulting in a third-place finish.

Regardless of the result – albeit impressive – it was one of the most badass things we’ll see in racing all year.

“I don’t think I’m quite as sore as I will be here soon,” McAdoo said on the broadcast after the race, putting a bow on a night that fans won’t forget.

McAdoo’s status for Saturday at Atlanta remains in question, but there’s still hope at a title run for the young, up-and-coming star.

The action can be seen over a delayed broadcast on Saturday night, starting on NBCSN at 9:30 p.m. CT.
