Malcom in the Middle star Frankie Muniz to run ARCA race in November

Announced during the broadcast of the NASCAR All-Star Race, Frankie Muniz will race in the ARCA Series in November.

Muniz, star in the TV series ‘Malcom in the Middle’, announces that he will drive in the November 5th ARCA West race at Phoenix Raceway. Prior to an injury in 2009, Muniz drove in multiple developmental tours. He also was in many Pro-Celebrity Races.

Starting his racing career in 2004, Muniz strapped into a Toyota at Long Beach as part of the Pro/Celebrity Race. His team finished seventh that day. The next year, he finished third which was his best finish in five starts for the event. Muniz’s last race in the Pro/Celebrity event was in 2011 finishing fourth.

Not only was Muniz a part of the Pro-Am style event, he raced in 14 Formula BMW races in 2006. Muniz moved to the Champ Car Atlantic Series in 2007. In 12 races, Muniz’s best finish was ninth during the season. For the 2008 season, Muniz placed 11th in points after moving to Pacific Coast Motorsports. The injury plagued 2009 hurt Muniz’s growth as a driver. He had finished every race in that season inside the top ten but underwent wrist surgery to end that streak.

Stock cars entered the Muniz resume in 2021. He ran a Super Late Model in Bakersfield, California’s Kern County Raceway Park. Earlier this season, Muniz tested at the ARCA Daytona test in hopes of entering the series this season. That possible dream becomes a reality in November.

Outside of his starring role in ‘Malcom in the Middle’, Muniz starred in movies like ‘Racing Stripes’, ‘Agent Cody Banks’ and ‘Deuces Wild’ as well as many more.

Muniz and the rest of the ARCA West Series will be in Phoenix as part of the NASCAR Championship Weekend.
