Sweden’s Robin Larsson ran away with Sunday’s Nitro Rallycross race at Phoenix, extending his points lead over his competition in the tour’s sixth race of the 2022-23 season.
Larsson ran a race that saw little hinder his drive to the checkered flag, finishing in five minutes, 13.487 seconds in route to his second win of the season.
The win is Larsson’s second win of the season and first since the season opener in the United Kingdom.
NASCAR stars Chase Elliott and Austin Cindric entered both of the races held this weekend for the series, but neither qualified for either A-Main on the weekend.
Travis Pastrana won Saturday’s main event.
Nitro RallyCross will return to the track in January in a two-day event (Jan. 21-22) in Quebec for Round 7 of the season. The venue and track have yet to be announced as of November 13.
