It was announced Sunday morning by both driver Lance Dewease and Kreitz Racing that the two have split ways. The longtime driver of the No. 69K tweeted saying he was “relieved of my position with the 69K.”
Dewease had run seven World of Outlaws races and seven All-Star Circuit of Champions races this season. He has one top ten with the Outlaws and two wins and six top tens with the All-Stars.
“Thank you to Donald, Davey, the team and sponsors for the time I spent behind the wheel,” Dewease tweeted. “I’m not done yet.”
The team stated in a release Sunday: “It’s a sad day for Kreitz Racing. Unfortunately, we have split withe Lance Dewease. Lance and his wife, Renee, both went above and beyond anything we ever asked them to do. They brought sponsorships, provided their own time and developed numerous ideas to help grow the team. We will be looking for a driver/drivers to finish out our season.”
Dewease had just run the car Saturday at Williams Grove with the Outlaws and placed 13th. He ran the Eldora Million and Kings Royal in the No. 39M for Macri Motorsports.
