Some NASCAR drivers and families have already begun their vacations while the sport goes on break during the 2020 Olympic Games.

Alex Bowman, however, is strapping into a sprint car for the first time competitively in his career.

With partnership from his primary sponsor, Ally, Bowman will be rolling through local shows to try and get his feet wet during his first year as a team owner on the dirt.

Potentially influenced by his Hendrick Motorsports teammates Chase Elliott – who competed in the Chili Bowl for the first time in 2021 – and Kyle Larson – arguably the best sprint car driver in the world – Bowman is continuing to explore this new adventure in his career.

It was previously announced that Bowman would be taking the drives in February, but has since seen his race schedule over the next two weeks expanded.

He’ll start off at the brand new Circle City Raceway on Thursday before racing the popular Attica-Fremont doubleheader on Friday and Saturday.

He’ll conclude his weekend with a run at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin City, Pennsylvania on Sunday.

On the second weekend off, Bowman will return to run the same three tracks for a second time – all part of his first two weeks racing the car competitively.

Bowman is currently seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series playoff grid this year, collecting 15 playoff points and three wins – second best mark in the series – on the season.
