King Tyler came back to sit in his throne.
Driving the No. 7BC midget for just the second time this season, Tyler Courtney was able to capture yet another win at Eldora Speedway on Friday night in the USAC Midget A-Main.
“I can’t say enough (about the team),” Courtney said on FloRacing. “This is only the second time we’ve ran the midget this year and it was running. With what I’m trying to do this weekend. It felt really good.”
The Kings Royal winner and 2019 USAC Midget champion is the only driver on the grounds at Eldora Speedway that is entered in all six of the feature races scheduled through the weekend.
His goal is to win all of them. No seriously.
“I wasn’t quite sure at the beginning of the race, but I knew as long as (the cushion) kept getting higher, we’d be alright,” Courtney said on the broadcast.
Logan Seavey and Chris Windom took podium results on the night as points leader Buddy Kofoid settled for fourth.
In the aftermath of the results, Windom gained another three points on Kofoid with his finish, meaning the gap for first place in the standings is separated by just seven points.
The series returns on Saturday for a second run at Eldora along with the rest of the USAC classes as well as the All Star Circuit of Champions. The first round of hot laps is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT and the entire night of action can be seen live on FloRacing.
