Tyler Bruening kicked off his first full season on the World of Outlaws Late Model tour with four top 10 finishes in the opening five races.

He didn’t look back from there.

Behind 27 top 10’s across the season and a number of top 5 runs, Bruening piloted his No. 16 Capital Chassis car to the World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year title.

Bruening, a native of Decorah, Iowa, didn’t get that elusive first win with the tour, but still managed to secure a third-place run in the points standings.

That’s nothing to scoff at for a first year racing nationally.

One of the highlights of the season for the Iowan included a podium run in his home state during the Hawkeye 100 at Boone Speedway.

He also finished the year with four top 5 runs in his final seven races – helping him clinch the points battle among rookies.

Always Race Day congratulates Tyler Bruening on winning the 2021 World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship.
