Chase Elliott just misses top 10 in second winged sprint race, Larson wins

Chase Elliott started 16th in his second career winged sprint car race on Wednesday night at Merced Speedway in California – and this time he nearly put it in the top 10.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion brought his car home in 11th during the support class action for the USAC Midget Series.

The result comes one night after he made his debut with in the car on Tuesday, finishing back in 18th in his first time on the track.

Meanwhile, Elliott’s NASCAR teammate in Kyle Larson dominated the run once again, winning at Merced in the No. 57 for the third straight event Paul Silva has fielded a car.

Elliott and Larson both plan to run Saturday night’s USAC Midget action at Ventura, which concludes the tour’s season and can be streamed live on FloRacing.
