For the handful of green-flag laps that were ran early on at New Hampshire, NASCAR Cup Series drivers sounded off on their radios with reports of rain at the track.

Despite drivers’ concerns, NASCAR neglected to throw the yellow flag and once the rain picked up on lap 7, three drivers running in the top 10 saw their days end, including leader Kyle Busch.

In the laps after the wreck, Busch was seen putting some paint on the bumper of the NASCAR pace car, as well as flipping off NASCAR officials on the front stretch.

On the track, he was his normal, blistering and animated self.

Off the track, though, in front of the tv cameras, Busch was reserved in what he would verbally say.

“We were talking for two laps that it was raining,” Busch said. “There’s no sense in saying what I wanna say. It doesn’t do you any good.”

Busch was then asked by the NBC broadcasting crew on if there was a way to improve communications between the drivers and series on-track.

“It’ll get me in trouble.”

NBCSN brought on NASCAR President Steve O’Donnell on to defend himself and the series on the broadcast.

O’Donnell said that they were about to throw the yellow… His full comments can be found below.

The rest of the race can be seen on Sunday on NBCSN.
